The colors that are associated with apples, while usually red, include green as well. There is a color referred to as “apple green.” So you can still have your apple kitchen if green is a favored color over red. Using green small appliances in your apple kitchen can help you set the decorating tone.

Small appliances typically sit on your counter or someplace handy for daily use. Things like toasters, blenders and mixers are all available in many different colors including apple green. You can combine an apple green small appliance with something like an apple-theme cookie jar to create a small decorative section of your counter.

Many apple accessories make use of a darker green by way of the leaves from the apple tree. That way you can accent your accessories with a darker green. This is especially useful if you have a very light kitchen. Like white counter tops and walls. The bolder, darker colors add a great contrast for your decorating.

No matter what shade of green entices you, you can still make use of it in solid patterns to create an apple-theme kitchen. It’s more a matter of the accessories and accent pieces that you chose to use for decorating. Luckily, there is no hard and fast rule for decorating you kitchen. That probably explains why there are so many different styles of kitchen decorating. And we are happily enjoying our apple kitchens.

I love the apple green mixed with the traditional red or burgundy. It’s such an eye-pleasing combination. And, the pop of the apple green here and there really gives life to the room.
